Classes & Workshops

Current Eventbrite Events

Beginner Friendly

Each class is designed to be approachable and relaxing, serving as a good starting point for beginner and first-time artists. Participants are given all necessary supplies and all preparation is finished in advance, removing the most mundane and frustrating phase of creating. The only thing left for participants to do is to follow the step-by-step instruction, trust the process, and enjoy themselves! Students are often pleasantly surprised with their results despite not having touched the related materials in decades, if ever!

Fun & Unique Projects

Create your own work of art and express yourself in a low-pressure atmosphere. Bring home a one-of-a-kind piece that is ready to display to show off to friends and family, or given as personalized gifts and decorations! Themed workshops are held regularly and invite participants to create their own variations and twists. Students are taught basic skills that can be taken home to further create at home, opening up new possibilities for future projects or passions!

The Extra Mile

Creating a successful workshop involves selecting products that are the right value for the attendees, curating an assortment of tools that empower the student to engage, and developing a process that is engaging and educational for artists of every level.

Watercolor classes include an assortment of synthetic brushes and Windsor Cotman paints, which are considered mid or “student” grade. These paints are easy to use, affordable, and produce quality results for non-professionals. Paper is pre-stretched and heavy weight (300gsm) to prevent waves from forming in the final painting and are pre-sized to be placed in an 8”x10” frame or larger. Basic skills are taught as well, depending on the workshop, and may include brush technique or color theory as well.

Clay workshops include Sculpey Premo, a premium polymer clay that can be baked in a home oven. These classes are typically two stages, often following a day 1 and day 2 format, to allow for baking and cooling of the pieces. Golden acrylic paints and synthetic brushes are provided on the second stage to finish and add detail to the pieces, with some unique materials sometimes thrown in as an extra surprise.

Future workshops will be expanded to include new media such as pen & ink drawing techniques. Check my Eventbrite link at the top of this page for all current workshops.

Private & Corporate Events

Commemorate birthdays, anniversaries, dinner parties, baby showers, reunions, or just have fun in your home! Learn and create with your loved ones in a comfortable, personal setting. Choose a prior theme or work with the artist to create a new one!

Team building events also benefit greatly from a shared activity, such as painting or sculpting. Creating in a relaxed, shared environment cultivates a sense of community. Games can also be integrated into the activity to inject a sense of energy and engagement.
